Nolan The Ninja Drops 2 New Collaborations & New Production

Within the last month Nolan The Ninja has definitely made some power moves to further his art and career. Dropping two new joints on his soundcloud page, one featuring the legendary Guilty Simpson, and the other featuring one of Hip-Hop’s freshest new entities, Red Pill. The best part about it all is that the features are secondary, the fact the tracks are dope and the music is good is what is most important here. Music should be about the music first and foremost, rather than the package its wrapped up in which is often the case unfortunately. But, Nolan certainly shows the “Integrity” he has for the game with Guilty and goes rhyme for rhyme with Red Pill of the Ugly Hero gang on “Abyss”. Peep both 5ynoT productions below…

Not only is Nolan putting out dope music as an MC, but also as one of the best with the beats on the scene in the current state of Detroit Hip-Hop. The new video for “Lady In Infrared” from A-Minus & Semi Six is a smooth video and track dedicated to the ladies and is produced by, you guessed it, The Ninja! Peep the video below and make sure to pay attention to Nolan The Ninja.

Semi Six Gives You… “The Coronation”

Young, talented, skilled, and raw are just a few words that would accurately describe this 23 year old Detroit MC from the west side of the city that goes by Semi Six. Six, gathered some dope instrumentals from the likes of  Apollo Brown, 9th Wonder, Madlib and other head nod kings for his newly released collection of dope verses named “The Coronation” EP.
With the guidance of Nolan The Ninja and Pig Pen, Semi Six demonstrates he can go bar for bar for you on a technical level, paints a dope picture with the lyrics, and also has a very unique voice that is smooth and easy to listen to. The boy is ill, need the proof? Here it goes…

More Ill Shit From A-Minus & Semi Six

If you are aware of anything in the world of Detroit Hip-Hop right now, you know there is a lot of ILL SHIT being put out by Nolan The Ninja and his camp Verbal Vomit. This crew has figured out a way to make fresh music that has a nostalgic Boom Bap feel with out having to sound out dated or retro. The music is innovative, original in its own way, young, vibrant, and still captures that gritty Hip-Hop feeling we all fell in love with. On this new release A-Minus & Semi Six do their thing on a Nolan The Ninja production. If you like what you hear, download “The Field Trip” EP by A-Minus here!

Nolan The Ninja, Fatt Father, and John Panich Put On For Detroit

Detroit Hip-Hop is like a never ending ocean of quality music. So many different styles, feels, and textures to the music that molds the city and with a lot of new stuff coming out of the city within the last two weeks, three individuals have definitely proven that the Motor City can not be put into a box with a range as endless as the D’s. So I took some time to rep the city and give artist the respect they deserve.

Nolan The Ninja drops “The Ill Sh-t”
This 14 track project establishes a certain sound through out. That fuzzy, dirty, dungeony sound giving you that feeling of Hip-Hop we all loved in the early nineties but with out being cliche and out dated. Nolan is easily turning heads in the city with this type of production and with the rest of his crew Verbal Vomit which includes Chavis Chandler as well.

Fatt Father Releases video for “My Kids Need A Coat”
Music does not get much realer than this. The Father is back with a new visual directed by Mario Khalif Butterfield and produced by Big Tone. Welcome to the grim reality that is often the usual in the streets of Detroit. If you lived in MoTown this winter you know first hand this Michigan winter is nothing to take lightly. Your kids need a coat, so go get it!

John Panich Presents Mini-Movie “John Panich Is Dead”
**WARNING** This is for a mature audiences only. This visual has some sick and twisted scenes that many may find disturbing. Even strong Sexual references and brief nudity. With that out the way, this is by far one of my favorite music videos, ever! JP from the HP put his stamp on the world of music with this disturbed masterpiece. Lyrics are dope, flow is dope, hook is awesome and catchy sung by Joe Average, and this video directed by Colin Duerr will blow your mind and what ever competition is has out of the water.

It has been a great week and a half in Detroit as far as Hip-Hop goes. I can’t wait to see what else these gentlemen will bring us as well as the rest of the community. Also if your looking for some more new music, make sure to check out the new album “Gentleman Jack” from CMY’s own Kopelli! Here’s a video off that as well featuring Mic Phelps!
