The first single off Valid’s solo debut album set to drop late 2013/early 2014,  is now digitally available to the world as of Tuesday, March 26th, 2013. “Vintage” is some what of Valid’s ode to the beautiful history of  Hip-Hop and what better way to pay homage to a culture other than getting one of it’s historical figures like Keith Murray to jump on the track! The Enigma, Mr. Yeah Yeah u Know It, and legendary New York Def Squad affiliate Keith Murray and Detroit’s young rising performer Valid join forces on a production from none other than Big Tone of  Detroit staple group Wasted Youth, and laced with Cuts by DJ Sicari of the 5e Gallery. Keith Murray is an iconic rapper, entertainer, actor, and a member of the legendary rap trio Def Squad, which includes rapper/producer Redman and Erick Sermon. Keith was born May 29, 1973 in Central Islip, New York. Keith learned to take care of himself at an early age when he lost both of his parents to society and turned his energy into rapping.He started his rap career under the name of MC Do Damage and battledBig Daddy Kane before he even ever recorded an album. Later, he was introduced to Erick Sermon of EPMDby K-Solo where Erick included Keith on his album No Pressure released in 1993 on the single “Hostile”. The album peaked at #16 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and reached #2 on the R&B Albums chart. This was the spark to ignite Keith Murray’s career in the music industry.His first album, The Most Beautifullest Thing in This World, was released in 1994 on Jive Records hitting U.S. Billboard 200 chart Peak position at #34, U.S. R&B Albums peaking at #5, U.S. Hot rap singles charting at #3 and was given 4 mics by The Source.

Murray’s second album Enigmawas released in 1996 on Jive hitting U.S. Billboard 200 chart peaking at #39 and U.S. R&B chart peaking at #6. With both of his album being a success he started to brand himself in the entertainment industry.

In 1998, The Def Squad covered “Rapper’s Delight” by the Sugarhill Gang. They would release their own album right after, El Niño that charted #2 on Billboard 200 and #1 on top R&B/Hip hop Album. This launched Murray’s third album It’s a Beautiful Thingreleased in 1999 and charted #39 on U.S. Billboard 200 and #9 on U.S. R&B Albums.

Murray hit the scene again by appearing on the song “Home Alone” by R. Kelly and Def Jam released his He’s Keith Murray in 2003 charting on U.S. Billboard 200 at #4 and Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums at #11 containing the single “Yeah, Yeah U Know It.” with guest appearances from fellow Def Squad members Redman and Erick Sermon. Murray dedicated “Christina” to his sister. That same year, and was featured on the video game Def Jam Vendetta.

He released his fifth solo album Rap-Murr-Phobia on July 31, 2007. It debuted at #52 on the U.S. Billboard 200 charted at #7 on Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums. In 2008 Murray put out couple of albums independently, Intellectual Violence and Puff Puff Pass as he was on tour traveling the world.  Keith is now prepared to hit the film industry in 2012 with an independent film “Stage Fright” and is preparing to come out with new music for your Ears, Mind, and Soul.
